Update on Leonard's Corner

I am keenly aware that safety is a serious problem at Leonard’s Corner.  I have contacted Dublin City Council about this.  As the junction lies along a Quality Bus Corridor route, they have forwarded my concerns to the Quality Bus Network (QBN) Project Office for consideration as part of the Rathfarnham Quality Bus Corridor Review.

The Rathfarnham QBC Review Preliminary Design is due for completion in the later half of this year. 

Update On Flood Alleviation Works

I have recently been in contact with the OPW to find out when the Dodder footpaths will be reopened.  The proposed completion date for the flood alleviation works on both sides of the river between Londonbridge and Newbridge is April 2010 and the footpath on both sides of the river

Halting the closure of Ringsend Post Office

The Ringsend post office is vital for the local community. We all know elderly neighbours who use it on a regular basis. John Gormley has intervened to postpone the move and in the meantime we will be working with local community to find a new location for the post office. I would hope that An Post co-operate as best they can to find a solution that will be acceptable to all.

SAMRA petition on Poolbeg scheme

The walkway and beach along ‘The Causeway’, (edge of Sandymount Strand), towards Irishtown Nature Park will be overlooked by the proposed poolbeg scheme. How could families sit on the beach here with apartment blocks and commercial activity just behind them, with no barrier?
